The Sundance Stompede has earned a well-deserved reputation as a grass-roots community event of the highest order. Since 1997, each year this event has brought together dozens of volunteers, dozens of contributors and growing numbers of participants to raise thousands of dollars for other charities. Local business participation is always high, a reflection of the trusting partnership we have developed with the business community. You can be sure that 100% of our net proceeds will go directly to support our beneficiaries, and that you will receive ample recognition and thanks.

Program Advertising

The Sundance Stompede produces a beatiful program professionally printed in full color on glossy paper. We are planning a press run of 1000 copies, many of which will be distributed in San Francisco locations in advance of the event. We are expecting several hundred participants who will receive the program and refer to it throughout the weekend. Many of the participants will be visitors from out of town who will be looking for places to dine, shop and play, and many more will be locals who may frequent your business over and over again.

You can advertise with us for a little as $75. Nonprofit organizations with 501c3 status may deduct 20% for selected ad categories. If you would like us to design an ad for you, please add $75 to the ad price. We'll work with you to create a simple but effective ad to include one logo or graphic plus text.

The Sundance Stompede will feature a vendor area each day of the event during the following times (subject to change):

  • Fri, November 10 = 10 am to 12 midnight
  • Sat, November 11 = 9:30 am to 4:30 pm
  • Sun, November 12 = 10 am to 4 pm

The vendor hours coincide with the hours of the dance workshops during the day, plus the Friday evening dance event. The vendor area is located on the lower level of the Golden Gateway Holday Inn, 1500 Van Ness Ave., San Francisco, where the majority of the dance workshops take place.

You'll be catering to a primarily gay/lesbian audience who like to travel and shop. Western wear, massage, music, arts and crafts, travel – these are all things that might appeal to Stompede attendees. Or you can set up an informational table for your business or organization.

Rental of a vendor space for $250 entitles you to approximately 6 feet by 8 feet of space, with one table and two chairs. 501c3 nonprofit organizations can rent a single table for only $150. Silent Auction

Silent Auction at the Hoedown

The silent auction at the Stompede's Saturday night Hoedown is one of the greatest sources of fundraising at the Sundance Stompede. Every year dozens of businesses and individuals participate with their donations of merchandise and services to the silent auction, raising thousands of additional dollars for our charitable beneficiaries.

If you wish to donate to the auction, here are some guidelines:

  • Smaller is better, preferably less than than 12"x12"x6" to fit inside a flat-rate Priority Mail box. Gift certificates are great!
  • Items should be in new or like-new condition.
  • We are unable to accept discount offers as donations. Donations must be for the full value of an item and should not require any additional purchase.
  • Please provide details of your donation including a detailed description and its value.

All businesses and individuals that donate to the event receive ample recognition for their generosity, including a display at the event with the business and/or name clearly identified, a listing in the program, and a grateful letter of acknowledgment.
